BRIEFLY "ÖMÜR"

Ömür Plaza was named after Ömür Yogurts, which was the foremost dairy producer of its time. Yogurt was the first dairy product to be named after 'Ömür' due to its health benefits and ability to promote longevity. The name was later given to other products, such as fruit flavored yogurt, milk, flavored milk, cheese, ayran, jam, and crème chocolat as well as Ömür Restaurant, which was established in 1956. Ömür Restaurant produced and served the first chickens prepared with a rotisserie machine in Turkey, as well as hotdogs, “chicken in the basket,” dairy desserts, all of which created a lasting impression on its customers. Ömür Restaurant was closed in 2004 and Ömür Plaza was built in its place. Ömür Plaza became a town center with the comfort, trust, and quality that it provided to its customers throughout the years. It aims to offer its visitors an innovative experience that still resembles that of its past by incorporating its values to the modern world. Therefore, Ömür Plaza is not only a neighborhood center, but it has also become a symbol that adds to the values of the town and its people.
